Cialis adverse reactions and side effects: headache, nasal congestion, hypotension, dyspepsia, priapism, flushing, back pain, limb pain, myalgia. Viagra: headache, dizziness, abnormal vision (color tinge to vision, abnormal sensitivity to light, blurred vision), nasal congestion, diarrhea, dyspepsia, priapism, urinary tract infection, flushing, rash, and the biggies MI (heart attack), cardiovascular collapse, and sudden DEATH. What is the adverse effect of a dislocated arm without proper treatment?
Q. I simply relocated it back to place, no sling, no medicine , no visits to the doc. Now, it feels sore at times. But is that the end? How serious could things turn out or?
Asked by april2 - Sat Jan 26 13:56:22 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. simple tissues holding ur arm are torn and need time to heal...resting arm is important for this reason... if u dont give rest for at least 3 wks tissues are damaged and even the simplest force would dislocate it again... meaning dislocations all the time which would need operations to correct it... Prereduction and postreduction radiographs are recommended...there maybe fractures in area ... also any numbness/ inability to move fingers raise arm sideways implies nerve injury... if u are in sports sometimes docs even do operations but i think u are not a sportsperson... Approximately 90% of patients younger than 20 years at the time of the initial dislocation have a recurrence; see source to know more its in end of page...

Does Lithium have an adverse effect on creativity?
Q. I have recently been diagnosed as bi-polar, and I've been doing some research. Lithium seems like a pretty decent choice of medicine to discuss with my psychiatrist. However, I'm a writer. I'd rather not take Lithium if it's going to interfere with my creativity. Any information?

A. Some people complain of excessive sedation and dull thinking on lithium. However, bipolar disorder usually gives people a lot of energy and motivation so its hard to say if its treating the disease or a side effect of the medication. Lithium is a very nice option if you have a lot of classic manic episodes. It works less well if you are rapid cycling (more than 3 episodes a year), have mixed episodes (both mania and depression) or primarily depressed. If you are concerned about sedation, Lamictal is a good option. It is minimally sedating, works well for depression, and has little effect on body weight. It is associated with a rash and takes about 6 weeks to get to a good level. Abilify is a newer antipsychotic that most people find less… [cont.]

A. When I took Mirtazapine, 60 mg, the good effect it had was to help me fall asleep at night. If your mom is having problems sleeping, this could be a "Good" effect. I didn't notice any bad effects Mirtazapine had because I went to sleep after I took it. I hope your mom will be feeling better. Best Wishes.

A. Well, fresh aloe vera nectar has abundant natural minerals but i am not sure if these ingredients help in promoting hair growth, it's worth a try though as there seems nothing to loose except the cost of the nectar and your time. So give it a shot and best wishes.

A. Call a pharmacist. They know a lot of the interactions by heart and can look up a lot more. Different things can affect each other in different ways depending on the concentration or adding additional meds in with it.

Would having committed misdemeanor affect my job application?
Q. I am a 21-year-old man and a sophomore in college. I have a psychiatric disorder and take many kinds of medicines. One of the medicines I take caused severe mental adverse effects, and my emotional status was very unstable. Only a week after I attempted suicide, I sneaked into a women's bathroom and tried to take pictures. I got caught and the victim filed charges against me. I am charged for 'invasion of privacy', a class D crime in the state. I did not stand my trial yet, but I am sure I will be found guilty and be convicted. I will try to make an appeal that I was having emotional problems caused by adverse effects of psychiatric medicines. But I am not sure whether it will work. People say that it will show up in the background check… [cont.]

A. Being Charged with a crime and being convicted of a crime are two different things. If you are convicted of the crime it will show up on your back ground check and depending on the place you are seeking employment it may or may not effect the status of your employment. IF you fill out the application before you are convicted you can honestly say that you have never been convicted of a crime. But if you really want this job you should probably take care of the application process long before you go to court. On the other hand if you are convicted of the above crime you will more likely have jail time to serve and that would be really hard to explain to a new employer. and there is a possibility that you would lose your job because of that.… [cont.]

Smoking weed produces negative side effects?
Q. A hypothetical friend smokes weed 2-3 times a year. But when he does, he gets all the negative effects or side-effects of the drug such as paranoia, depression, feeling of ominous, etc. This happening must be able to indicate what medicine he could take when sober to alleviate issues he may be having mentally when he's in a state of normalcy. I think this because most people don't only get the adverse effects of this drug, so there must be something wrong with his chemical receptors or dopamine, serotonin or epinephrine levels. What are your ideas?

A. I smoked weed for about 6 years on the regular. I have experienced about every negative side effect there is. weed is a psychoactive drug, it can have any number of effects on your brain. It differs from person to person. I dont smoke anymore, but even if i did, i would never know how i would react or feel afterwards. And all of my friends who still smoke still get those negative effects from time to time. Do i think that the way you react on weed is determined by a problem or a chemical imbalance? No. It is just a very powerful drug.

A. You should always look to see if anything is expired especially medicines. They wont do you any harm, they're just not full strength anymore.Though while it could be less potent it could be altered chemically to where it know has poisonous properties.I doubt that it would be toxic enough to harm you.

Has anyone ever had adverse side effects from taking Celexa.?
Q. I have been on Celexa for almost a year to try and control the manic episodes from manic depression. I stopped taking it for a while because I got tired of taking medicine to cope with this problem. I recently started taking it again and I started having very weird side effects as far as feeling like I am going to die and having the side of my face go numb. I don't remember having them when I first started the medicine the very first time. Of course I had Just switched from Prozac which I had been on for like 15 years. I would just like to know if any one has had the same side effects as I did from this or any other anti- depressents.

Marijuana and prescription medications question?
Q. I take 100mg of Zoloft a night and 23mg of Desyrel (trazodone) per night. Would marijuana use cause a bad reaction to my body? Could I overdose on marijuana with the medicine? I'm not planning on mixing the Zoloft and Desyrel with marijuana. I just need to know if there will be adverse side effects.
Asked by Jordan D - Thu Oct 23 19:18:09 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Marijuana has not been shown to cause adverse reactions with most medications.. This is from what research has actually been done, however because marijuana is considered illegal by the federal government there isn't much research going on (if any). Some local non profit organizations in states that have legalized medical marijuana (such as Oregon, California and Washington) will do their own research and have patients keep track of side effects with their medications as well as other factors like level of medicinal benefit for their specific medical problem. I personally have used Zoloft, Trazodone and marijuana together and *I* did not have any adverse reaction. I haven't had any reactions between marijuana and any other prescription… [cont.]

Early Morning Backache?
Q. I have suffered from chronic backache for over 5 yrs. The pain is always present when I awake, (excruciating), and gradually decreases about 50% during mid morning. The pain radiates from the right side of the back at the waistline and seems to radiate down the leg, pain will occasionally switch to the left side of the back. I've taken prescription hydrocodone and tramadol but relief from these is becoming less effective; also, I am concerned about adverse effects of these medicines. I do daily stretches, sit-ups etc. but relief is only temporary. Seeking information regarding other beneficial medications and remedies for this condition, thank you.

A. How old is your mattress. Is it firm or too soft it may need to be replaced. You are describing sciatica. Pinched nerve endings. The pain starts in your back and radiates down both legs, or just one. It sorta feels like a little electric shock when it goes down your leg right? Firm mattresses are the worst thing for a bad back or pinched nerves in your back. If its firm, and you can't afford a new mattress, get a thick memory foam topper for your mattress. Sleep with a pillow between your knees, this forces the spine to line up when you are on your side and take the pressure off the pinch point. Also only one pillow under your head. Try alleve for pain, you are taking way to many narcotics that just mask the problem, not help it.

Should military veterans be allowed to use medical marijuana regardless of which state they live?
Q. Many veterans are returning home with injuries and pain. They are prescibed legal medicine but prescription medicine can have adverse effects on people (military members are no exception). If someone fought and wore the uniform, should they be allowed to use marijuana if they (the service members) say marijuana helps with their pain? I know an ex military guy who was injured during service. He said pain pills (naproxyn/aleve) caused intestinal bleeding so he couldn't use pills anymore, yet he finds relief in marijuana for pain and inflammation. He has a college degree and a 3.2 GPA. He used marijuana throughout his college time and he did very well. Should veterans and active members be allowed to use marijuana for relief? He said LOTS… [cont.]

A. Absolutely. ANY American should have the legal right to effective, low cost medicine. But the large pharmaceutical lobbyists in Washington are doing their job to keep their product marketable and most importantly, profitable. By keeping their products legal and downplaying the significance of the natural medicinal purposes of our good God's herb, they are cornering markets. Washington lets it happen because of the huge income they enjoy from taxing the industry. The economics are simple. If marijuana was legal then people could grow their own...eliminating a heavy stream of tax money. The favoritism doesn't stop at the federal government. It happens just as easily on a state and local level as well. Millions of dollars in donations (bribes) [cont.]
